I mean you have the Soekris.img on another machine, say your desktop
or whatever. You export the directory where it resides via nfs. On the
running Soekris/FreeBSD box you mount the nfs share, so the
Soekris.img file is visible there. Then yeah, you use dd to overwrite
the device that you booted from.
I've done this in Linux but never attempted in FreeBSD. I don't
recommend you try it if you would feel at all inconvenienced by the
total immediate loss of the OS and info currently running on the
Soekris box.
