The atheros chip in the DWA-547 is supported by the ath9k driver, added
to the linux kernel in late 2.6.27, and has received lots of updates
since. I am currently using this card in a Gentoo system to act as a
wireless access point.

I have only been able to get 802.11g working with ath9k/hostapd on this
card. Each time I enable 802.11n extensions, I get dropped frames on the
network which causes all clients to drop within a few seconds of
associating. I have yet to determine whether this was caused by
misconfiguration, or whether the combination of ath9k/hostapd doesn't
work. Perhaps if someone else has gotten it to work, they could provide
us with a working hostapd config?
