[Soekris] net5501 link problems

I don't think that it is so simple. First one of our customers experienced 
this problem at his site with the first net5501 and sent the box back to us; 
we could reproduce it. 

If the statistical packet loss happens depends only on some mystical outcome 
of the last renegotiation (but speed and duplex are always the same).
