[Soekris] Any suggestion for alternative?

Don't be ridiculous!
Win98 is unstable and insecure, obsolete, not available or supported
anymore, and never has been suited for any security application.
Stacking all kinds of software upon each other would not solve anything.
Read the soekris website, their products don't run windows. Go ahead if
you see any hack value in it, but don't expect anyone to buy such an
unsupported crappy solution.
I wouldn't want my local fire dept to have their security system on your
cheap laptop either, but then again, firemen do open doors with axes.
Stop kidding us, there's plenty of door locking systems on the market.
