[Soekris] net5501-60 CF not detected on cold boot

Pure guesswork:

The RTC is not always starting the first time you power on a box,
and if Soren uses that for timing out the detection of CF cards
that might explain the problem.

I suggest you send email directly to soren about hardware issues.
