If your OS boots, your problem must be something else.

The Soekris bios disk size limit is 128 Gb if I remember well.
If you have a disk larger than that, make a boot partition (smaller than
the limit) at the beginning of the disk.

As soon as your kernel is up and running, any bios limitation is
irrelevant, because Linux and *BSD do not use bios to access the disk.
