[Soekris] Issues with detecting disk and booting on 5501

Hi,
I'm having difficulties with net5501-70 using SATA disks. The big problem is that the 5501 doesn't detect the SATA disk on every boot - which is totally unacceptable. In fact I need to plug/unplug the power 4-5 times before the comBIOS detects the disk.
I have also tried with 1.33b comBIOS but then it never detects the disk (it's also suspicous that nothing is mentioned in the changelog about it).
When I finally manage to get it to detect the disk, I boot the OpenBSD 4.3 installation with TFTP but it fails after a while, apparently losing connection with the disk:
wd0(pciide0:0:0): timeout
type: ata
c_bcount: 65536
c_skip: 0
pciide0:0:0: bus-master DMA error: missing interrupt, status=0x21
I've tried with two different net5501-70, separate disks and cables.
Am I missing something? It's not like I can look in any documentation, there isn't any - except a board drawing.
