The generic USB PC cables are just fine, the ones I got are 30 cm
long, including the connectors. (That is 11 inches)

The generic serial and USB cables are cheap, about EUR 3 each.

I'm getting a PCI bracket now with both USB and serial.

I also have been experimenting with eSATA but those cables
all seem to come with connectors that prevent you from closing
the soekris green case (no right angle connectors for those found
so far) (For a rackmounted case, it's not a problem as there is plenty
of room)
