[Soekris] What does "boot FF" do?

Hi,

I've a soekris net5501 with comBIOS ver. 1.33.

"show" says BootDrive = 80 81 F0 FF

What does "boot FF" do?

I tried searching the list archives but FF seems
to get cut out by the search engines.
