I could, but I'm using LFS on it. LFS has its own set of performance issues.

Raw disk reads (with an active, mounted FS) look something like this:

  # dd if=/dev/rsd0d of=/dev/null bs=1m count=32
  32+0 records in
  32+0 records out
  33554432 bytes transferred in 2.598 secs (12915485 bytes/sec)
