My seventh Soekris board, the 5501, is not a lucky one,
 so I'm here again ....

I configured Linux+Grub on the 5501 booting without hassle from a
1GB CF. Today I added a tested Hitachi HDU with
 the ATA mounting kit

The bios is a 1.32i and the HDU is cable select, as
describet in a thread of this list.

This is the result

It seems that CF & HDU vanished and the 5501 is trying
 to boot from the network
Normally the grub prompts appears in place of PXE prompt

Changing the cable-select jumper to master or slave doesn't help
Detaching the HDU cable allow the CF to boot normally.
Any idea to what is happening ? The disk is good, of course.

BTW what is the meaning of the three commas that are in
 the POST result string ???

many thanks to all. Marco
