Hi Ervin,
If I'm right Ubuntu uses that ******** ***** ** **** called Parted,
which is probably the source of your error.
Ubuntu is an excellent easy-to-use Linux distribution for desktop PCs,
but it's usefulness for an an environment such as an embedded device is
questionable. I suggest you try running Debian instead. Its installer is
a lot more robust and flexible than Ubuntu's. I personally find the
Ubuntu installer horrible, both in usability and performance.
A possible alternative: I recently installed an Ubuntu Server dist,
which seems to run [at least most of] the standard Debian installer.
Went without a single glitch.
