[Soekris] net5501 suggestions please

Today, I saw the net5501 11.4" standard case front and rear drawing on the
soekris: http://www.soekris.com/Manuals/net5501_box_PCI1.pdf
Looking at the http://www.soekris.com/bundles.htm webpage, it is very clear
to me how the previous net4801 was extended by use of the bundles.  It is
unclear to me how I can extend the net5501 with the standard one slot case.

What can I bundle with the net5501 to extend its functionality?  What can  I
use that standard 1 slot for?  I definitely want the net5501, but I am not
sure the standard one slot case will allow me to take full advantage of all
the board will offer.  (As part of my order, I have already ordered the
vpn1411 for the mini-pci slot).
