This is like putting 355/45ZR18 tires on a 1990 honda civic. Yes, you
may be able to make it fit, you may even be able to put/get data from
it, but I doubt you'll do more than a simple el-cheapo 120GB 5.4K rpm
2.5" disk will do.
The question always comes to, what do you want to do with the data? As
far as I can see, even the 5501 has only 100Mb ethernet. So even if you
could gang all four together, or somehow shoehorn both a sata/scsi/sas
controller *and* a GbE card onto the board... your bottlenecks likely
still would not dictate such an expensive SAS disk.
