I don't understand this either. If it's emulating a switch, and it's 
limited to do that,
than it kind'a makes sense, but since it's not a switch by heart, and 
thus needs the OS
to make it act as a switch, all those things should be able to be handled
entirely in software with a set up of ipfilter rules since that's what's 
happening now,
except data goes in somewhere, is handled by the OS, being spit out 
somewhere
else, then comes back and is handled by the OS again.
