I'm not sure if it's of interest to you, but I use a ICOM PCR1000
(http://qsy.to/pcr/) which is connected via serial and then a 3.5mm to
3.5mm jack into a sound card. They have roughly the same foot print so
they stack well.
Unlike the WiNRadio however you do need a sound card, additionally the
PCR1000's are discontinued. Their protocol was worked out, not offically
released. Available on eBay most of the time.
Also remember you'll have the overhead of encoding the audio, unless you
want to dish it out as RAW PCM :).
