I don't believe any patch is required for FreeBSD HEAD or RELENG_6 but 
you do need the test hal that's in http://www.freebsd.org/~sam.  All the 
logic to handle mapping between 2.4GHz and 900MHz frequencies is in the 
system.  Be sure to set the country code to 843 to get the intended 
channel set; otherwise you're left with the pseudo 2.4GHz channel 
assignments and you cannot use the 1/2 and 1/4 rate channels.  I've 
suggested that Robert use this country code in the EEPROM but other s/w 
folks have been unresponsive about adding the necessary support.
