Sounds more like a messed up switch to me. Those things run quite
complex firmware too, which isn't necessarily bug-free. Some cache may
be holding contradicting data or something. My first reaction to such
errors would be to switch off and unplug _everything_, then plug in and
boot the devices one by one. It may turn out that one of the boxes is
messing up the network due to a config error, but more often than not in
my (humble) experience, everything might as well run fine after just
that.
