Hi Jochen.
Thanks for the reference! I should read more frequently the list
of known issues. ;-)
I think that I will return the board instead of resoldering the pads
on the capacitor myself. I suppose that it will be better returning it
to Cortex Systems, as I am European citizen. Don't know however if
I should contact Cortex Systems only if I get the board from them and
with Soekris Engineering in any other case.
My experience soldering surface mount components is not good at all.
I only soldered a capacitor on the board of the HDD on a HP 9000;
after expending a saturday on the physics laboratory learning how
soldering surface mount components I tried to solder that capacitor.
The disk worked only for ten months.
I prefer this problem being fixed by someone that has more knowledge
on soldering.
