Supposedly the MPGT (Multi Purpose General Timers) can be used as a 
hardware watchdog. I have been muddling through porting the LINUX one 
to FreeBSD (very slow progress).  But I am not even sure if it works 
on the Soekris. Perhaps they are not even hooked up on the soekris 
implementation ?
