[Soekris] Idle temperature under various operating systems

It's been a few months since I ran pfSense on one of these; I thought
they left the 64MB realm, but their changelog seems to suggest
otherwise, even if it's not supported. I'll drop it on my test 4501
and check for the temperature on that.
As far as processor load goes, though, m0n0 idles at 0-2%, whereas
OpenWRT (with the Webif^2 interface) shows about 19%. I'm pretty sure
the RRD graphs are pfSense specific; it inherited the SVG graphs from
m0n0, but all the extra graphing was added much later and [it seems]
never taken back the other way.
I've also seen this in a little fanless Celeron system I set up this
summer - 'idling', pfSense got the heatsink too hot to touch, whereas
GNAP didn't do much at all. Both of them were dead default installs
and showed low CPU utilization.
In my 83.8-degree (F) wiring closet, the m0n0 system is slightly
cooler than the WD5000YS running idle (and in the open air) next to
it; the OpenWRT system is 'air-cooled computer case in an open room'
warm - i.e., slightly above ambient. If I had to put a number on the
difference, I'd say roughly 7-10C. Nothing critical, just curious.
