I have looked deeper into my problems and I am now convinced that it
is either my kernel options or mt PXE boot parameters that are wrong.

The kernel I use is a version 2.6.21 compiled on my Gentoo box
(2.6.21-gentoo-r4). I use no modules. I have reduced the kernel as
much as possible. The only Ethernet driver that is enabled is the
VIA-driver via-rhine.

I believe my basic NFS setup is correct since I can manually get all
the files I want via TFTP and NFS. I am more in doubt as to my
pxelinux.cfg- file. I have found that e.g. the value on the DEFAULT
line is very important. Most, if not all, examples apparently use the
same value here as for the LABEL parameter, but the Syslinux
documentation says that it is the default command line. The question -
at least to me - is: which command line?

Perhaps you could send me a copy of your PXE config file? It would
also be great if you could send me a copy of the .config file you use
to generate the kernel with.

Thanks in advance

Bent
