Hi
When I PXE-boot my 5501 all goes well up to a certain point:
....snip...
NET: Registered protocol family 10
IPv6 over IPv4 tunneling driver
NET: Registered protocol family 17
powernow-k8: Processor cpuid 5a2 not supported
Using IPI Shortcut mode
Looking up port of RPC 100003/2 on 192.168.19.99
portmap: server 192.168.19.99 not responding, timed out
Root-NFS: Unable to get nfsd port number from server, using default
Looking up port of RPC 100005/1 on 192.168.19.99
portmap: server 192.168.19.99 not responding, timed out
Root-NFS: Unable to get mountd port number from server, using default
mount: server 192.168.19.99 not responding, timed out
Root-NFS: Server returned error -5 while mounting /soekris/leopold
VFS: Unable to mount root fs via NFS, trying floppy.
VFS: Insert root floppy and press ENTER
<end of output>
192.168.19.99 is the server I use as boot server.
I have a suspicion that I use the wrong Ethernet driver. I have
compiled my kernel (which BTW is built using Gentoo) with the
'via-rhine' driver, since the chips are VIA VT6106M. The net activity
LED blinks merrily as long as the kernel image is downloaded, by when
the'Looking up port of ...' messages begin, no activity is observed
and tshark running on 192,168.19.99 shows no output. I believe this is
because I have chosen the wrong Ethernet driver.
Please correct me.
