Thanks All I'm not sure I need 2G of RAM. My idea is to run a 4801 with astlinux mainly as a firewall. I just didn't want to run out of memory. I already have a 512 CF. But don't want to find it bottlenecks due to memory shortage. Thank all for your input Barry
