[Soekris] USB Memory

Hi All

I'm fairly new to the soekris family.
I was wondering the following

I have a 512MB CF card loaded with astlinux on it.
The 4801 I have has a USB connector, Can I put a 2GB USB drive into the
USB connector and treat the USB drive a additional Memory
Thus using what is on-board plus the additional 2GB.
If so, what would I need to configure / type to get this to work?
