Hi,
All helpful comments; good food for thought. thanks!

Although I do agree that install over a 'slow line' can be a pain,
we're ok - for now - installing over LAN via tftp+nfs. Works fine.
But, having never (yet) upgraded FreeBSD as we're still rather new to
the FreeBSD environment and have only 'new' v6.2-RELEASE instances,
the option for a NanoBSD instance on Flash seems interesting.
I suppose it's possible to do the upgrade in-place "on" the existing
HDD (again, I've simply not done it yet ...), but the option to have a
'safe' boot env, in case the HDD dies or the install is screwed up,
seems of real value.
Is there a good reference/howto on installing NanoBSD on a Soekris'
FlashDrive for eventual upgrade?
Thanks.
