No, eth4 would not have an ethernet address. Check your favorite OS
(Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD) for the term "bridging". There are a
lot of manuals on how to do this.
You could also choose to run specifically made software, like m0n0wall
or pfsense, which has this build-in.
