[Soekris] ComBIOS 1.29 slowdown ?

Hi list,

I recently upgraded around 100 Soekris NET-4801-60 boxes combios to version 1.29 (I know... I shouldn't have done this).
They seem to be working fine so far but I noticed some major slowdown.
Could this be related to the LBA bug found in 1.29 ?
I don't want to waist a whole day updating to 1.30 if it's not the case.
