[Soekris] net4801 mini pci power limits ?

Hi all,

I'm developing a mini pci board for telephony application to be used onto
the net 4801 board.
The little issue I need to resolve is how much power I can drain from
the minipci slot.
According to minipci specs, I must not drain more than 2 watts (and this is ok),
and I must have power management (ver. 1.1) on my board : this
is the real issue: my minipci board will not have power management at all.
So the question is: if I not implement PM will the minipci slot
limit the power available to me, or is just a specs to be fully
minipci compliant?

I.e. on minipci slot I can get all the power I need (at least 2W)
without implementing
power management ?
