[Soekris] What about this feature request?

Many's the time I have a CF image that I need to get on the soekris
flash. With the removable ones,
it's not too complicated, but with the soldered on ones, it's a pain in
the butt, with needing to set up
PXE and network bootloaders, and possibly NFS, and stuff.
So what about an alternate download option in the soekris bios that just
takes a Xmodem download, and just
starts writing it over the CF starting at sector 0? It'd sure be handy
for in-the-field fixings, quick and dirty tests,
and such, and w/o knowing anything about how to implement it, seems like
it should be pretty straightforward.
Yes, I realize it would not be the fastest thing, but at 38,400 for a
one-off type thing it wouldn't be too bad. Or the other option that
might be cool is a ethernet (not TCP/IP) tftp-style client. One
wireless gizmo I have does that, where you type in the mac address of
the machine with the download file, and it sucked it off of there
somehow. WOuldn't require an ip stack, or any of that stuff.
