[Soekris] How to drive external relays?

We are doing this using a serial controlled relay box. The one we are  
using is made by SeaI/O and requires you to write a Modbus protocol  
implementation (I have one I could share but it isn't all that  
great). There are other serial relay boxes we have in house (not  
controlled via Soekris boxes) that use a simpler interface. There are  
even small "WebRelay" devices that are single relays with an ethernet  
port, you could control them from a centralized source on a network  
if that works for you.

There are tons of these sorts of boxes out there, just about anything  
works with the Soekris.
