Hello, I recently purchased a net4801 to put m0n0wall on. I also
purchased a 512Mb CF card (the smallest i could find, actually) and put
the net48xx-1.22.img on it. Then I realized that I didn't have a power
supply. I did however have a 1 amp universal AC adaptor, that i set to
12V. I plugged it in and the power and the power and error lights
came on (and the disk light briefly). I unplugged it assuming that
there was, in fact, an error. From the website it seemed that 1 amp was
a little light (even though I am not using a hdd), so I bought a 1.5A
supply. Same behavior. I made sure that the universal tip was oriented
to a positive tip, since that appears to be want the power supplies on
the site use.
I am apprehensive about leaving the power connected with the error light
lit, is this normal? Where should I go from here?
Thanks for your time,
Pol
