[Soekris] lan1641 locks up with 2.6.17.8 kernel

You'll have more luck getting someone on the kernel mailing list
interested if you can work out exactly which change caused the problem.
I know it's a hassle, but you could at least try to determine what the
last working kernel version is with a binary search...
