[Soekris] 4526 GPIO with the built Linux kernel

Hello,

I'm trying to switch from the Soekris specific GPIO drivers to the  
scx200 GPIO driver build into the Linux 2.6 kernel. I thought this  
was supposed to work, but when my 4526 boots I see this error:

scx200_gpio: no SCx200 gpio pins available

Does this driver work with the Soekris boxes? What might I be doing  
wrong?

I'm currently building 2.6.17.13
