there are *two* possible keys, both the *same* distance from the edge.
cards can have notches in one (indicating single 3.3v or 5v signalling
depending which side the notch is) or both (indicating the card should
work with either).

the 4801 is laid out so that ports on the card go next to the onboard
ethernet ports. i.e. the metal plate on the card has to be removed and
holes cut in the for any ports etc.
