[Soekris] Is JP1 on the 4821 an available serial port?

In the manual for the 48xx series boards, JP1 is populated as a serial
port. The 4821 board I have does not have a connector placed there. If I
placed the connector, would it be a usable serial port? Even if the port
does not have the RS232 drivers, it would be useful.
