Dave is right.  That part is used in so many designs that AMD would  
be hard pressed to cancel it with a less that three year "you can  
still buy parts" period.

The "design center" closure is likely about putting all the wood  
behind one arrowhead, focusing on Opteron and the war that Intel has  
re-engaged in.

(Intel just sold its Xscale parts to Marvel, in order to go head to  
head with AMD over desktop/server/notebook parts.)

(But it would be nice if Soren would release something with the same  
hole patterns, etc that was  an "update", as Dave allows.)
