I don't think it's too much to worry about right now - the Geode line
has not kept up with the likes of Via and the development money AMD
has is going into desktop processors, clearly their highest volume of
sales.

The thing to be scared of is AMD announcing the end of production, and
they won't do that until the volume drops and they won't do it without
reasonable notice.

I do hope that this announcement spurs Soekris into releasing more
powerful boards based on non-Geode parts.  It's been three years since
the 4801 shipped and it's showing its age.
