[Soekris] net4801 as a NAS?

That would depend on your definition of crawl.  It wouldn't be as fast
as the raw disk, but for a lot of applications it should be plenty fast.
You could certainly store music on it.  Even DVD video should be within
the realm of the feasible if you don't have too many clients.
