Rather than reinvent the wheel, you might want to look at Astlinux.  We 
support the net4801 devices, but not the 45xx's.  Check the mailing list 
archives at www.astlinux.org for more details.  As far as the FXO pci 
cards, it really depends on how you're handling the call.  Are you 
transcoding to something other than ulaw?
