[Soekris] Problems after installing debian netboot image

After doing the Debian netinstall - where everythings works OK - After
installing grub - i' m rebooting my soekris.
Then the troubles begins! The curser just blinks in upper left corner
wrinting press for selected highligthed .............


Without more information, I can only take a guess.  But my guess is
that your /boot/grub/menu.lst file is not properly configured.

I did that - and that help me really a whole lot further -
but now I got the kernel Panic about console!
I edited my menu.lst to look like this:
default 0
timeout 3
serial --unit=0 --speed=19200
terminal serial

root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.27-2-386 root=/dev/hda1 ro console=ttyS0,19200n81
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.4.27-2-386
savedefault
boot

And the Kernel panic is like this:
Partition check:

Journalled Block device driver loaded
pivot_root: No sKernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
uch file or directory
/sbin/init: 432: Cannot open /dev/consol: no such file

Should it matter about the BAUD here as long as I can see whats happening on
the screen - if I seet it to 9200 I get nothing else but special
caracters???
