[Soekris] 4826 and Power over Ethernet

I use the metrix.net poe adapter on 4826s. Works
great. Best not to leave the poe box in the
sun...seems to fry something. I'm not sure who they
get it from.

The Soekris 4826 does not implement the 802.3af
standard. Personal
experience is that it will not power-up when I plug one
into an
802.3af-complicant switch, which is just what I expect.
