[Soekris] Booting hdb?

I have managed to install redhat 9.0 on my hard drive of a net4801.  It will
not boot!  All I get is 'L ' or 'L ' followed by never ending double zeroes.

I have lilo installed on the disk.

I do not have the CF in place.  Do I need it and does lilo need to be 
installed
there?

Do I need to make the hard drive the primary master??

I have looked through the archives but did not find anything other than 
people
that can boot from the hard drive.
