[Soekris] Appreciate some hardware suggestions

Having used Postfix and Exim on net4801 (and qmail and Sendmail at 
various points on other hardware), I'd say probably any mail daemon 
you might try will probably be fine. Whichever you can administer 
most effectively is probably the best choice. EC's ISP obviously 
chose different to him|her (see headers)! Most servers of the type 
that will see much difference between these programs are probably 
running on hardware with more RAM than the current range of Soekris 
boards supports anyway.

Anyone looking to try qmail out might want to look at qmail.org and 
not just DJB's website, where the netqmail 'distribution' is 
available [actually it's 1.03 with a patchset, since distribution of 
modified qmail files is not permitted] - this will probably save 
quite some effort identifying which of the numerous patches available 
are the most important.

The thing that is more likely to cause a problem with resource use is 
unrestrained virus/spam-scanning...
