[Soekris] mikrotik, net4801, ethernet "lock up"

I have been running mikrotik on a net4801 for a couple of weeks and twice I 
have noticed that an interface will "lock up" until I unplug it and plug 
the cable back in. disabling and re-enabling the interface doesn't work.

The symptom is that no traffic passes and both the link and activity led 
are lit steady. The cables are about 150' long. The Mikrotik version is 
2.8.18. Has anyone else seen this behavior?
