by "does not show up anywhere", i mean that the comBIOS does not show
it. It does however pause for ~30 seconds more then it would if the
card  was not inserted

i have tested the CompactFlash Cardwith several readers, including
several digital cameras. The card worked flawlessly with all of them,
except fro my soekris net4501x.

as far as i have been able to figure, they are supposed to be
compatible, aka it is supposed to work on net4501x.

This does not matter very much since the card was not very expensive
and i am sure i can find some other use for it, but i have no idea if
hte next cf card will work either.

i would really appreciate if someone (preferably someone of the staff)
repliestelling me if i have bought an incompatible card, or if this is
a problem with the board.

in either case, i would also like to know what cards work
