Just FWIW, NetBSD supports PowerPC CPUs, it has machine independant
drivers, which means you have the same hardware suppot as on x86 (except
for binary-only drivers released by some vendors), and cross-building
the whole tree it is as simple as running the build script with the
appropriate option (you can even cross-build from a non NetBSD box)
