I don't think PPC is the choice in the "embedded world". It really depends
on what you are doing. Most wireless cards have an embedded ARM or
StrongARM core. Many commercial APs has, again StrongARM (XScale),
ARM, DragonBall, ColdFire, SH4, or even the IDT/Winchip x86. And the
PPC has so many options and choices! I have used the PPC and SH4
in the past, because their floating point capibilities are superb, especially
compared to the popular XScale.

Why is the PPC software in short supply? Don't we have cross-compiler
tools from gcc? It is just a recompilation!
