[Soekris] Cable issue ... *again*

Is there *ANY* way to buy a net4501, 4511, or 4521 that does *NOT* have
the NatSemi chips that have the cable issue?  Apparently 2.4.25 does
screws up the driver yet again and upon upgrading various boxen we have,
are now experiencing cable issues all over again.  This is absolutely
ridiculous.  Is there any solution other than buying net4801s?
