Generally I don't, but if you state general cases that aren't someone
will do something stupid.

Yes, but that isn't what you said to start with.
In practice at even lower voltates cable and insulation do have
operational parameters that are best adhered to, often printed along
the side of the cable.
People should use appropriate cable for the voltage and ampage they
are dealing with, both are important to a degree.
